Assessment for Good:
Ethical, Equitable & Justice-Oriented Assessment
A Virtual Circle Series
August 10, 11, and 12, 2020
Four Circle Series
We’ve organized four distinct circle experiences that are rich in content AND model how to create meaningful relationships and learning experiences in a virtual environment. Participants can attend the whole event, one circle series or just one circle. Each circle exemplifies some of the work we are striving to do through Educating for Good:
Provide thought partnership to anyone educating for good
Create competency based resources and processes tailored to learning communities’ needs
Lift up the voices and work of others who are working toward good through education
Connect folks to resources that will help them do their best work with learners, both adult and youth.
Creating virtual communities is not just about holding space in “Zoom Rooms.” We will also learn together asynchronously starting the week of August 3 through message boards, twitter chats and virtual chalk talks. Combined with daily community circles at 10:00 AM EST, we hope to establish a learning community that will connect throughout the year, for good!
Guest Circles
Over the years, we've been able to work with some amazing educators implementing and supporting radical practices in education that tend to racial equity, community and justice. These circle experiences will be led by a few of these thought leaders and visionaries.
